Tuition is only available if: You’re aged 17 or over, or aged 16 or over and receive the higher rate of Disability Living Allowance (mobility component); and hold a valid UK provisional licence and are legally entitled to drive in the UK. You agree to be bound by the following conditions:

The PUPIL certifies that a valid, suitable and legal licence is held to drive/learn in the tuition vehicle. You must be legally allowed to drive in the UK. The PUPIL must inform the INSTRUCTOR if you receive any endorsements on your licence during the period you are receiving tuition. You must notify your INSTRUCTOR of any other matters which affect your ability or entitlement to have driving tuition e.g. (but not limited to) any lack, or loss, of a valid UK provisional or other driving licence.

It is the responsibility of the PUPIL to take their driving licence to the driving lesson and/or driving test.

The INSTRUCTOR carries the appropriate motor insurance to provide comprehensive cover should the PUPIL be involved in a collision, whilst in control of the tuition vehicle.

By appearing and commencing with the lesson, the PUPIL is confirming that they are physically, emotionally and mentally fit to drive and receive tuition for the duration of the lesson.

The INSTRUCTOR reserves the right to refuse to proceed with or stop a lesson if they have reason to believe the PUPIL is under the influence of, or suffering from, the effects of alcohol, drugs, tiredness or other mental, emotional or physical issues.

Payment for lessons must be made in full before the lesson begins. Payments can be made in cash at the start of the lesson or in advance by bank transfer.

The INSTRUCTOR reserves the right to introduce/withdraw any special offers.

The cost of pre-paid tuition is based on the lesson price at the time of booking and will be honoured for 12 months afterwards, irrespective of any price increases the may occur between the date of booking and when the lessons are taken. Any unused lessons after 12 months have elapsed will have the price increase applied and be payable by the PUPIL.

If the INSTRUCTOR is going to be late for the lesson, reasonable effort will be made to notify the PUPIL in advance. The time will be made up at the end of the lesson or at a time which is mutually acceptable. If the PUPIL is late to the lesson, the lesson will still end at the original finish time.

In the event of a mechanical breakdown/fault or other difficulty outside the control of the instructor, the INSTRUCTOR reserves the right to rearrange/cancel the lesson at short notice.

A minimum notice of 48 hours (to the start time of the lesson) must be given by the PUPIL to cancel/reschedule the lesson. This must be done via phone call or text message and failure to give 48 hours notice could result in you being fully charged for the lesson.

Lesson reminders are sent as a favour. It is the responsibility of the PUPIL to remember all booked lesson dates and times. If the PUPIL forgets the lesson you may still be fully charged.

Driving Tests may only be arranged with the prior agreement between the INSTRUCTOR and the PUPIL.

The INSTRUCTOR reserves the right to withhold the use of her car for a Driving Test.

The PUPIL can cancel pre-paid tuition at any time and will be entitled to a refund, subject to the following points:
If you’ve taken any lessons at the time of cancellation you won’t be eligible for a refund on them.
Refunds on partial block bookings will be made pro rata on any lessons taken.
Refunds will be made via bank transfer to the original purchaser.

LEGAL LIABILITY

The INSTRUCTOR accepts no liability for accidents, injury or damage to any third party caused by the PUPIL’S negligence or recklessness during a lesson.

The PUPIL should be aware that the INSTRUCTOR’S primary objective is to promote road safety and in doing so may take control of the vehicle either by taking the steering wheel or using the dual controls.
The INSTRUCTOR will make every effort to instruct the PUPIL to the highest standard but can in no way be held liable for any errors or loss that the PUPIL may make whilst driving and not accompanied by the INSTRUCTOR either before or after a test pass.
